Owner M. E. “Ikes” Taylor, along with Chief Engineer Kurt “Twig” Terwilliger, founded Lochabar Sound in Lansing MI in January, 2009. The mission statement was simple: “Lochabar Sound will provide quality, affordable live recording services to local talent.” That was it.

As things rapidly progressed, services expanded to include those listed at the top of this page. Lochabar is happy to provide these services. They’re designed to meet specific needs in the community and they compliment each other very well.

I expected long hours and hard work. I expected everything that could go wrong to go wrong sooner or later. I expected equipment failure, lousy weather, scheduling errors, power outages .. the list goes on.

What I did not expect, and what keeps me going somedays, is the way that Lochabar Sound has been recieved into this community.
